God Is Teacher

"Teach the little ones," they said
I protested, in my fear,
But they told me lovingly,
"God alone is Teacher here."

"Teach the little ones." I prayed
For Christly wisdom and true grace,
And, with gratitude, to know
I had found my rightful place.

"Teach the little ones." With joy
Was this bright unfoldment fraught.
For I came to them with love,
And by Love myself was taught.
