The Risen Christ

"He is not here, but risen;
The stone is rolled away.
Come, see the place abandoned,
Wherein the dear Lord lay."

Thus spake the white-clad angel
On that momentous morn.
Today, through Christian Science,
Are faith and hope reborn.

Today, through suffering's cleansing,
The stone is rolled away—
The sense of mind in matter
That had Christ's glorious day.

No more look we in matter
For Spirit, Life, and Mind.
In God's eternal Science
The healing Christ we find.
