I consider it a great privilege,...
I consider it a great privilege, as well as a sacred duty, to acknowledge through the periodicals the benefits I have received from the study and practice of the truth as revealed in Christian Science.
I had been under the care of doctors for over twelve years, and had had special treatment for organic and functional disorders. I was very ill, and the doctor said I could not live longer than six weeks. Lying in bed, I opened my Bible to the following statement (Ps. 118:17): "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."
A short time before this I had been asked to attend a Christian Science church service. After reading these words I was able to get out of bed, dress, and go to the Wednesday evening testimony meeting. It seemed as if a heavy weight had been lilted from my shoulders.
