[Of Special Interest to Children]

I remember hearing of a little church in Switzerland which had no lighting equipment; so when the villagers wanted to have a service after dark, each took his own light. It was a pretty sight when they all got together, and when there was a large congregation the lights were very bright.

This custom of each tending his own light reminds one of Jesus' words in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5:14), "Ye are the light of the world," and (verse 16), "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works." Through man God brings light to the world because man reflects God. What a lovely thought to take to church and to Sunday school! For the light which Jesus was talking about was the light of Mind. It is the same light which we sing about in the verse that runs:
