With a grateful heart I should like to add my testimony to the countless others which have so helped and strengthened me.
It was as pianist in a branch church that I first became acquainted with Christian Science. I was then a member of an orthodox church, and it was several years before my thought changed from skepticism, indifference, then tolerance, to a gradually awakened interest. While suffering from a nervous breakdown, I determined to turn my earnest attention to the study of Science.
One morning as I arose, these words spoke themselves clearly (John 10:10): "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." The sun literally came out in my consciousness then, and it was not long before I could demonstrate that that light was the healing Truth. At the outset of my study it was made very clear that the habit of smoking of ten years' standing should be given up. After the first treatment by the practitioner the false appetite left me.
