Christian Science has been the only religion, philosophy, and physician I have ever known. A recital of its healing power as evidenced in my experience would be an autobiography, for obedience to the rules of its practice has successfully met every need that has arisen in my life.

My parents began their study of Christian Science several years before my birth. In my childhood experience chicken pox, measles, and whooping cough were cured in much less than the quarantine period, through the work of a loving practitioner. I was also healed of an abscessed ear and various minor illnesses without the use of any material remedies.

At the close of my senior year in high school I became ill with rheumatism. We called a practitioner for help, and while I was confined to bed I read Sibyl Wilbur's "Life of Mary Baker Eddy." I had taken my religion for granted, but I began to realize the patience, love, and spiritual power which inspired Mrs. Eddy's great gift to the world. Gratitude and humility sped my healing, and in three weeks I returned to school in time for final examinations. The healing has been permanent.
