For many years I have experienced the blessings which come to one through the study of Christian Science and through membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. I have been greatly helped by reading the testimonies which appear regularly in our periodicals. With the desire to express my gratitude and to bless my fellow man. I give my testimony.

I became interested in Science while a young girl through my sister's turning to it in time of need and through her own healing. I was eager to know how the good results were attained. I questioned a practitioner closely as to what I should do in case of an emergency. She recommended that I learn "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and turn to it in time of need. I did this, and my first healing resulted.

One very warm morning I had a severe headache. It was necessary for me to attend to certain household duties while the other members of the family had duties elsewhere. I felt sorry for myself as I began washing dishes. I had been subject to severe headaches for some time, and one attack frequently lasted for several days. Then the thought came to me that this was the time to see what Christian Science could do. I began repeating "the scientific statement of being," and thought very seriously about what I was saying. When I had finished, my thought was so filled with the truth I had been declaring that there was no room left for pain and self-pity. They had simply vanished. The relief had come so quickly that I was surprised and very grateful.
