In "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany," Mrs. Eddy has written (p. 12), "Whatever needs to be done which cannot be done now, God prepares the way for doing; while that which can be done now, but is not, increases our indebtedness to God." It is with the desire to pay some of my debt to divine Love that this testimony is written.

Christian Science was first presented to me about twenty-three years ago in answer to a sincere desire for guidance. I am grateful that I was able to recognize in this religion the answer to my prayer, and to be willing to seek an understanding of God, which is the most valuable thing anyone can have.

One of the first healings that I experienced came as a result of obediently putting first things first. The woman who had presented Christian Science to me had stressed the importance of studying the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly each day and as early as possible. One day I had some very pleasant shopping to do, and I was tempted to put off my study of the Lesson-Sermon until I returned. However, I decided to put on my spiritual armor before starting out. In that Lesson there was a great deal concerning the nothingness of error, and about accidents being unknown to God.
