Guidance

When worldly voices clamor for attention,
And loudly call,
Be not diverted; let the empty phrases
Unheeded fall.

The senses' witnessing must fade to silence
And be unheard,
That listening ears may comprehend the language
Of Spirit's Word.

So shall the ever-present voice of guidance
Be known today:
"Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying,
This is the way."
