Reading the Christian Science Sentinel when I was confined to a hospital led me to take up the study of Christian Science and to seek the truth that I might be healed of the many ailments weighing me down. Because I was healed and wish to share my blessings with others, I am writing this testimony.

It was once said that people come to Christian Science from the graveyard; I can truthfully say that I was very close to the grave when I made the decision to put my trust in the truths published in the Sentinel. I had nothing to lose because the thought of passing on filled my consciousness.

I left the hospital without further medical treatment, immediately located a practitioner, and began the study of the truth that frees mankind. Before I entered the hospital, X rays had been taken which revealed a severe case of appendicitis and stomach ulcers. Added to this was a completely run-down nervous system. Although the healings were not instantaneous and required constant alertness on my part, they were complete. We have had many other healings in our family. I was healed of the social drinking habit, the smoking habit, and the desire for tea and coffee.
