Originality, the Heritage of Every Individual

Since God is individual and the origin of all things, individuality and originality are spiritual and characterize all that He does and makes. God expresses His infinite individuality and originality in individual man and woman. Each individual being has his substance in divine Mind, not in matter.

The full representation of Mind is manifest in infinite individualities. In reality, each individual man or woman reflects all the qualities of God, yet each individuality is equally original, because each individual distinctively expresses God his divine origin. The delightful and sparkling quality of originality belongs to each one of us.

The belief that one's individuality originates in matter is false, and it must be corrected and superseded by the spiritual sense of being, in order that the ills and inharmonies attendant on a material sense of origin may be overcome. We lose nothing of good when we deny the spurious belief that Mind, the source of our real individuality, can be in matter, but rather help ourselves to gain a recognition of man's oneness with God, which brings spiritual power and goodness into our human experience.
