"I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings," writes the Psalmist. The study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, has done just this for me.

My first healing in Christian Science was that of the social drink habit, and at the same time many undesirable traits of character were overcome. These healings took place after my first reading of the textbook and "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy. Shortly after this all desire for tea and coffee left me.

After reading all of Mrs. Eddy's writings through several times I began the study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. Many healings were experienced during the years that followed, including those of ptomaine poisoning, neuralgic headaches, sprained ankle, scalds, cuts, and burns. I have also been healed of several diseases of which I have not known the names.
