Angels Will Do Thy Errands

The restrictions placed on deliveries the last few years have made it almost impossible for anyone to escape doing some errands and carrying some packages. Although most people have cheerfully accepted the situation, they sometimes admit to feeling "ready to drop," or sigh with relief, "I'm glad that's over."

A student of Christian Science who had had a busy day still had some necessary shopping to do. When all the articles were purchased, she stood waiting for a bus, which arrived crowded but with enough space for her to stand balancing her bundles on the back of a seat.

Arriving home, she gladly dropped the bundles and sat down to think and rest. She picked up a book near at hand entitled. "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. Opening the book at random, her gaze fell on these words on page 129: "Then will angels administer grace, do thy errands, and be thy dearest allies." The words stood out: "Then will angels...do thy errands." "Think of it," she thought, "God loves His children so much that they do not even have to do their errands, for angels will do the errands for them!"
