It has long been my wish to express loving gratitude for the steadfastness of Mrs. Eddy in giving to the world the truth which we know as Christian Science. This Science has transformed me from one who sought worldly pleasures and was continuously running after a will-o'-the-wisp, to an individual who is very much at peace and happy for the opportunity to study, in order that she may grow in grace.

I did not accept Christian Science for healing purposes, but because in my search for that "something" I was really seeking a God whom I could consider as Mother and Father, and to whom I could go with all my longings. While He was not revealed to me fully in the beginning, through trials and tribulations I discovered that God is a loving, tender Father-Mother, who watches over all His children unceasingly.

One incident was responsible for my turning to Principle and relying on divine Mind only. I had been employed by one firm for a number of years, but finally decided I should resign and be satisfied with my husband's earnings. However, my employer was unwilling that I should leave, and used different means to delay the date of my departure for over four months. It was the first of the year when I finally withdrew completely and was able to look forward to a restful period at home. But only a few weeks later my husband's position was discontinued and he was left without employment. Several offers were made to him, but they were unsuitable.
