Angels' Song

"God created man"—words of comfort, words of love,
Words of angels' song!
God who knows but good, God who is all good—
"God created man," man inseparable from good.
What though darkening fears and sorrows say,
"We are power, we are might," they are nothingness,
Fading now from sight, vanquished by the glory of that light,
Love's omnipotence, encompassing all things.
"God created man."
