I feel that it is time for me to express, through our periodicals, my gratitude to God for the blessings that have come to me through the study of Christian Science.

A copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was given to me in 1902, and while I thought its teachings beautiful, I was too materially-minded to want it for myself. However, I read the book spasmodically for about twelve years.

At this time I felt the need of a more practical religion, and I began to attend the Christian Science church and to send my children to the Sunday school. Before long I turned to Christian Science for the healing of a very severe case of eczema, with which my young son was afflicted. I asked for one treatment from a practitioner who showed me that resentment in my consciousness was probably the error that was in need of healing. I was willing and ready to be healed of this error. When I put my little boy to bed that night all trace of the disease had disappeared. He was healed, and the healing, which took place over twenty-five years ago, has been permanent.
