Good Is Always Available

A Blessed sense of confidence and protection is experienced when one realizes that, in whatever situation he may find himself, God, good, is right at hand. Although the clouds of error may seem dark and one is tempted to become confused and bewildered by material sense testimony, the sunshine of Truth is present to dispel the clouds and shed light on our path when we recognize its presence.

The Psalmist beautifully expressed this thought when he wrote, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble;" and, "The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth." It is our privilege to turn to our loving Father, divine Mind, whenever we are in need of help and guidance, for He is not in some far-off place, but always right where we are.

The clarity of thought possessed by Mary Baker Eddy, the beloved Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, is shown in her words on page 471 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," "God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence." We know that God is good, and it is not difficult to understand that He is all-powerful, but we sometimes fail to realize that He is always present where we are, and that His omnipotent power is available to us every moment and under all circumstances. His loving protection and tender care are as near to the men and women serving their country in a righteous cause as to the businessman in his office or the housewife in her home.
