Every day I am more grateful...
Every day I am more grateful that I was led to Christian Science. For many years I had been seeking the living God. I had been a member and regular attendant of an orthodox church. Then I went for some years to all sorts of church services, also to every religious lecture I could find.
In 1923 I went to a Christian Science Reading Room after attending a Christian Science lecture. The librarian talked to me for some time and lent me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I read the book and took it back, not understanding it.
Five years later on a voyage to South Africa I met two Scientists. They talked about Christian Science and explained it to me. By that time I was receptive. Arriving near Pretoria, I found my son studying the textbook. I bought myself a copy and eagerly started to study it with him.
