Church Dedications

Red Bank, New Jersey (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Red Bank, held dedicatory services Sunday, December 26, 1943, in the morning and afternoon. A short history of the church was read by the First Reader, excerpts of which follow:

"During the year of 1915. a small group of people in Red Bank held informal Christian Science meetings in their homes. In February, 1916, it was decided to rent the Eisner Building, at 54 Broad Street, and to apply for recognition as a Christian Science Society. The first service was held on a Wednesday evening in March, 1916. The Reading Room and Sunday school were opened the following year.
