[Of Special Interest to Children]
A Little child, about two and a half years old was playing alone upstairs one day when suddenly she heard a noise which frightened her very much, and, crying loudly, she ran downstairs as fast as she could go, declaring, "There's a big man upstairs."
It was the first time this little one had experienced what it was to be afraid. Her mother, taking her in her arms, held her close and gradually the fear subsided; then, over and over, together they repeated two lines from a loved hymn, until the child could say them by herself:
