Because in your recent issue your correspondent makes further erroneous statements regarding Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, it seems desirable that the true position should be made clear to your readers.
The genuine inquirer turns naturally to authorized books for instruction as to the teachings of Christian Science, or, indeed, of any other subject, but your correspondent is content to obtain information from antagonistic sources, a course which can only lead to confusion of thought. The writings of j. V. Dittemore are well known to us, but for the information of your readers it should be stated that in March, 1937. Mr. Dittemore publicly withdrew these writings in a somewhat lengthy statement, from which the following extract may, perhaps, be quoted:
