Cease Not to Pray

Cease not to pray when hope seems lost,
And days are gray with mist-born frost.
Love points the way;
Cease not to pray.

Cease not to pray when friends depart.
Prayer heals the wounds cleft in the heart,
And lights the way;
Cease not to pray.

Cease not to pray when golden hours
Bloom on your way as fragrant flowers.
If they would stay,
Cease not to pray.

Cease not to pray by day or night,
And let your works attest the light.
Truth leads the way;
Cease not to pray.
