Education
Lieut.-Com. Harold E. Stassen, U.S.N.,
as quoted in
The Front Rank, St. Louis, Missouri
Achievement of a secure and enduring peace is a long-time job. Those who are now little children can be qualified by Christian education to go far beyond what our generation will in the achievement of a Christian world order.
We must do all we can to counteract the pagan feelings and practices which arise so easily in wartime.... We must seek to replace hate and desire for vengeance with good will, compassion, and understanding. Only so will our people be morally and spiritually qualified to plan and support a just and enduring peace.
