Although I am not a member of any Christian Science church or society I should like to testify to the efficacy of Christian Science treatment in the healing of physical diseases and disorders. I had heard of this Science while I was yet a young man, but being physically fit and having a good position. I gave it no thought.

Several years later I contracted what the medical profession diagnosed as asthma in its worst form. After struggling for months I was obliged to give up my position and go into a hospital for medical treatment. Here my troubles were aggravated, for I was transferred from one hospital to another, and from one convalescent home to the next. I was under the care of a number of specialists, and had repeated X-ray examinations. I was put on special diet as well. Finally, without receiving any relief whatever. I was discharged as incurable.

I still clung to patent medicines and the atomizer in the hope of finding the much-desired cure. Then I sought recovery in change of air and climate. Growing steadily worse, and in despair. I almost gave up the struggle. Finally the thought of Christian Science began to present itself repeatedly. At the public library I found The Christian Science Journal, which I hungrily read. For some time I continued going to the library to read, for I felt I had found the true path in the teachings of Christian Science.
