I write this testimony with a deep sense of love, joy, and gratitude. Many healings have come to me from the study of the Bible and the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

When I was laid up, as the result of a fall, a copy of the textbook was obtained for me. I had no previous knowledge of Christian Science beyond the fact that a friend had been helped by it.

I began by reading the Preface, and at once experienced a feeling of comfort and the healing of sorrow, caused by the passing of my dear mother. Mrs. Eddy says (p vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." The realization came that I was "leaning on the sustaining infinite," and with that knowledge all fear of lameness left me. A complete healing took place, to the amazement of the kindly surgeon who set the limb. He told me that never in his experience had such a fracture not resulted in shortening of the leg. I have had no ill effects, and walking is a joy to me.
