Christian Science was brought to me about twenty years ago, at a time when to mortal sense I was physically beyond help. I had not then taken solid foods for about three years. At this time a friend of the family told me of the wonderful work being done by Christian Science. A practitioner was called and the healing work begun. The practitioner pointed out what Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 490): "Human belief— or knowledge gained from the so-called material senses—would, by fair logic, annihilate man along with the dissolving elements of clay." Mrs. Eddy also says on the same page, "Will-power is but a product of belief, and this belief commits depredations on harmony." In three days after I accepted Christian Science help I was eating solid foods, and in a few months realized my complete healing.

I purchased all the works of Mrs. Eddy, and with the Quarterly began to study Christian Science systematically, applying its rules all along the way. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door. I will come in to him, and will sup with him and he with me."

A few years later extreme fear and suffering developed during electric storms, due to electric shocks. I was loosed from this bondage also.
