Several years ago, while our family was visiting at a farm, my son, then about ten years of age, fell from the top of a woodshed which was under construction and broke his arm. At that time I was not particularly interested in Christian Science, although I had had an instantaneous healing several years before. My wife was a Christian Science practitioner, and my son was attending a Christian Science Sunday School. Other members of the household where we were visiting were interested in Christian Science, and all of them had experienced healings. The accident took place about six o'clock in the evening. Christian Science work was started immediately and throughout the night work was done for the boy, who maintained all along that God could heal the arm.

A trip had been planned for the following day to a large city about sixty miles away. Inasmuch as I was not satisfied as to the exact condition of the arm it was my desire to have an X ray taken. On our arrival, a bone specialist was located and the X ray was taken. To my amazement, the picture disclosed that the bone had been set perfectly. This satisfied me that Christian Science had done and could do the work.

The doctor advised that the arm be placed in a cast, and that the boy be left in their care until the healing was completed. Regardless, I took my stand for Christian Science from that time on. The boy was satisfied that Christian Science could do the work, and at no time did he wish for any other help.
