Awakening
I awake
from dreams of sense,
Wake with dawning in my eyes,
As in thought the vision breaks—
Man is never one who dies,
Compassed in a meager span,
But a living, changeless ray,
Perfect, born of Spirit's will,
Shining in eternal day.
