Mere words cannot express my...

Mere words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science.

In June, 1941, when I was on my way to work, another car collided with the one in which I was riding, fatally injuring the driver and another occupant. My own injuries were severe. Medical and surgical science diagnosed them as a fractured skull and facial bones, and gave no hope for my recovery.

This occurred at four o'clock one Sunday morning. My family had no knowledge of this until eleven o'clock that night. My wife at once proceeded to call a Christian Science practitioner, who treated me faithfully. I experienced no pain whatsoever, and all the bones in my face went back into place without medical attention. I held fast to Truth, which freed me of fear and pain. One of the dentists here in town took the impression for my teeth and said that the roof of my mouth showed no signs of ever having had any broken bones.
