To the Wise
A store
of golden oil is thine
To use to bless and heal mankind.
Through deeds of joy a holy shrine
Of gratitude, and peace of mind;
This is the oil that wisdom gives;
In thought and deed of man it lives.
A store of golden oil is thine;
The penetrating gentle power
Was gathered from the Word divine,
And causes hearts of stone to flower.
Its perfume brings a joy and peace,
Its daily sharing brings increase.
A store of golden oil is thine;
It heals the thought of hate within.
'Twas sent from Love as gift divine,
And calms the waves of doubt and sin.
We work for Truth. 'Tis never toil—
It keeps the lamp supplied with oil.
A store of golden oil is thine;
As heirs with Christ let God bestow
This wealth of precious oil, a sign
To guard and give. "Be still and know;"
Then as mankind doth seek the light,
The lamp of Truth will shine more bright.
