I desire to recount some of the many experiences of the past twenty years since my entry into the Christian Science Sunday School as a pupil.

Throughout these twenty years I have never taken medicine, nor have I missed a single day from school or work because of illness. During my high school years, one specific experience was the healing of a sore throat as a result of earnest reading of the Christian Science Sentinel. Another was my rescue from drowning after I had drifted, unconscious, far from the beach. The rescue was due, I believe, to the fact that I had corrected my thinking, before losing consciousness, by recalling much of what I had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. An added healing in connection with this experience was elimination of the fear of water. In a few days I was again in the water, swimming. A third healing was of an ugly, disfiguring boil on my cheek, which, after the help of a Christian Science practitioner was sought, gave me no discomfort whatsoever, and was gone in a few days.

One healing which stands out especially during my college life came after I had stepped forcibly on a rusty spike, as I was hurrying to an early class. I stopped for a moment and shut my eyes as I vehemently declared the truth as we are taught to do in Christian Science. My foot throbbed with pain during the first period, but between classes I found I could walk with no discomfort. That morning I had a swimming class, and then I found that, although the spike had penetrated both shoe and stocking, there was no mark whatever on my foot.
