In answer to earnest prayer to God to be shown a way out of much unhappiness, including lack and inharmony, the "still small voice" said to me, "Investigate Christian Science." In obedience to this heavenly command I purchased the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and visited a practitioner, who gave me a Christian Science Quarterly.

I began a daily study of the Bible Lessons provided in this Quarterly. During the fifteen years following, I have relied entirely on Christian Science for the supplying of every need, physical, moral, financial, and spiritual, for myself and two daughters, who are now grown and are both students of this glorious truth.

In February, 1935, I had a severe attack of influenza and congested lungs. I called a practioner on a Tuesday; by the following Friday afternoon all fever and weakness had entirely left me and I was completely healed. With help from the same practitioner I was healed of an infected knee, caused by a fall on a shell road. In a few minutes after I had asked for help, all pain had ceased. The discharge stopped, and by the same evening new skin had formed over the wound. In our family we have had many healings, such as of whooping cough, measles, pneumonia, and scarlet fever. Stomach trouble was healed, after much dieting and medical treatment had not availed. My grandson, at the age of two, was healed of croup at the stage where his breathing could be heard outside the house.
