Many years ago, standing on the brink of moral disaster, living only for the gratification of the senses, I was induced by a loved one to turn to Christian Science for help. My efforts were rewarded by a complete healing of the liquor habit. Later on, I was able to overcome the desire for tobacco.

Through a careful study of the Christian Science textbook I was healed of a chronic stomach trouble which had defied medical science. I have experienced the healing of typhoid fever within one week, and the healing of a severe infection which threatened the loss of my hand. Both these healings were brought about by the help of practitioners.

For these and many other healings I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for class instruction, all of which have been of immeasurable benefit to me in overcoming the false beliefs of mortal mind.—Wilberforce W.
