I give this testimony to express my gratitude to God for the many healings and blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. One remarkable healing which I received in the spring of 1941 is outstanding.

In my home I dropped down six steps, landing in a sitting position and striking my back severely against the bottom step. "God is my Life, and there are no accidents in God's creation," was my first thought. I was alone, but managed to get into the living room, where I started to read Science and Health. After I had tried to work for myself for some hours, I telephoned a neighbor to come and look at the furnace. She found me helpless, and predicted that I would feel worse the next day.

The following morning I was unable to move. A practitioner was called and work taken up at once. The healing was not instantaneous, but I am thankful that it gave me time to understand God more clearly and to ponder more earnestly our Leader's God-inspired writings. I discarded all thoughts of material remedies, and firmly and resolutely determined to take my stand with God. The following text in Science and Health has always been a great help to me (p. 180): "When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible."
