Down through the ages, change has been the usual order of the day, yet in at least one particular the contrary has been true. Did you ever consider how changeless has been the demand for proving the truth and value of each statement you make, each new theory that is advanced, each digression from the generally accepted state of affairs that may be undertaken? New inventions must be proved worth while and safe; new methods in education call for experimentation and proving before the public is willing to accept them.
