I am very grateful for Christian Science and for the many healings I have had.

I became interested in Science some eight years ago, through my children's nurse. I had been ill for five years, in fact, since the very inharmonious birth of my second child. It was a Caesarean birth, and it seemed as if everything went wrong. For the ensuing five years many operations were performed, but I became steadily worse and had not slept for more than a few hours each night for three years. Then I turned to Christian Science. I rang up a practitioner whom I remembered meeting once. She asked me to read the first chapter in Mrs. Eddy's wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and this book was lent to me.

I was not seeking a religion, but before I had finished reading that wonderful chapter called "Prayer" I knew I had found the truth. That night I slept for twelve hours.
