"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." It is with grateful remembrance of God's goodness and loving guidance that I wish to bear witness to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science.

I was reared in a Christian Science home, and it has been a blessed privilege to have had some knowledge of the teaching of Christian Science since early childhood. When a young woman, I began an earnest study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for the healing of a skin disease which had been pronounced incurable. Not only has the difficulty been cleared up, but in large measure, impatience, criticism, and irritability have been cleared up with it.

In my early years of study, I experienced a trouble in both ears, which I thought to be abscesses. The help of a practitioner was asked and for three years I studied diligently to know more about God and His Christ. For a long time, it was as though I did not hear what the practitioner was saying; but when I began to understand the truths which were voiced, I rejoiced with Job: "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee." The healing came later and has been permanent.
