Radio Program
A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station WEEI, Boston, on Sunday, January 17, 1943, at ten o'clock, Eastern War Time, by Walter E. Young.
This program was presented under the auspices of the Committee on Publication of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Miss Blanche Haskell, soloist, was assisted by Miss Gertrude R. Litchfield, at the organ.
The program opened with Hymn No. 77 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Mr. Young then read selections from the Bible as follows: II Chronicles 31:11, 12 (to :), 21; 32:1-8; Psalms 46: 1–3, 10; Isaiah 41:10, 13; 43:2; 45:24 (to ;). And from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 327:23–24; 97:22; 192:11–13, 17; 419:16 (only); 394:12; 273:29-3; 368: 1; 444:10; 410:14. This was followed by the Lord's Prayer.
