I Will Rejoice

I will rejoice, as birds rejoice
When dawn lights up the sky.
I'll sing my songs of joy and praise
To Him whose love has filled my days,
To God who reigns on high—
Him will I glorify.

I will rejoice, as flowers rejoice
With faces to the sun.
I'll seek, with lifted thought, His grace;
I'll yield my all to His embrace
And ask God's benison,
Because I am His son.

I will rejoice, I do rejoice,
Reflecting Thy design
In health and strength, intelligence,
The gifts of Thine omnipotence;
I thank Thee, Love divine,
That Thou hast made me Thine.
