I am deeply grateful for the practical help I have received from Christian Science, not only for innumerable physical healings and protection in accidents, but most of all for the living power of Truth that it reveals, which has sustained and supported me.

I am also very grateful for the Christian Science literature. Recently there was special cause for rejoicing over a healing which resulted from reading and pondering one of the articles in a newly arrived copy of the Sentinel. This article made it particularly clear that one need not "agree" with or "accept" whatever form of error is presented; rather must it be immediately resisted and denied any place or power. Pondering upon these two words, "accept" and "agree," I went into the kitchen to assist with the serving of dinner, and picked up the aluminum handle of a hot skillet which had just been removed from the oven.

Error tried to talk with a loud and disturbing voice, but the two words which had been constantly with me during the afternoon returned. I knew that I need not agree with or accept anything that error was asserting. Since all was infinite Mind, there was no place for error to burn and no place for error to be. Nor could I, as the reflection of divine Mind, hear "the voice of strangers." I am grateful, also, that I resisted the suggestion to look at the hand, and denied that there could be anything unusual to look at. The healing was complete, and there was no mark.
