As
we search the Scriptures for a better understanding of Life, Truth, and Love, our attention is likely to be arrested by the following invitation voiced by the prophet Isaiah: "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
At
this crucial point in the world's history a vital part of the work of the Christian Scientist is to help erase from the human mind unhappy and diseased thoughts.
Christian Science
has given to the world, through its spiritual interpretation of the Scriptures, the blessed assurance that all the children of God are equally blessed.
That
there is not enough room for everyone, that one cannot enlarge his own experience without restricting other people's and cannot in any way enlarge it sufficiently, that there is not enough power or enough of something else for what needs to be done—all such appearances and conclusions are found in Christian Science to be mere mistakes of the human mind.
Not
in what they say, not even in what they know of Truth can the value of men's lives be assessed, but in what they spiritually put into practice, alertly and consistently.
Experience has shown that the text of talks and addresses delivered by Christian Scientists at membership meetings, committee meetings, or at any other meetings held in the interest of dedication or other church activities, should not be made available otherwise than by their oral delivery to the audiences invited to listen to them, unless they are published and circulated through the regular and authorized channels for the dissemination of Christian Science literature.
The closing date for the receipt of applications for membership in The Mother Church is now approximately one month in advance of the date of the admission instead of two weeks as heretofore.
Through the study of the article "Exemplification" in "Retrospection and Introspection" by Mary Baker Eddy, the teacher in the Christian Science Sunday School may gain inspiration, humility, and teachableness, qualities which must be embodied in his thinking and expressed by word and action, if he wishes to have loving response and attention from the pupils.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the loving protection and physical healings that I have received through the application of Christian Science.
I am deeply grateful for the practical help I have received from Christian Science, not only for innumerable physical healings and protection in accidents, but most of all for the living power of Truth that it reveals, which has sustained and supported me.
