In an article which appeared in a recent issue of your paper, the writer classifies Christian Science with telepathy, psychology, et cetera, whereas Christian Science has nothing in common with these systems.
For the benefit of your readers I would point out that Christian Science is based fairly and squarely on the words and the works of our Master, Christ Jesus.
The difference between Christian Science and all other systems of mental healing is that these other systems exalt the human mind or will as the healing power, thereby dethroning God, "who healeth all thy diseases," while Christian Science brings the human mind or will under subjection to the divine Mind, God, and this Mind is acknowledged and proved in Christian Science to be the only true healing power.
In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 151): "The human mind is opposed to God and must be put off, as St. Paul declares. All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal." Healing in Christian Science is attained only through an absolute faith in and understanding of God.
