Completeness

This be thy faith:
Although to finite sense God often seems afar,
To know that close He walks with thee—so near—
Guiding thy step,
Hearing thy call,
Answering in silence, yet with message clear.

This be thy trust:
Although thy path on hilltop bright and fair may lie,
Or in the valley where deep water flows,
To feel that God
Still leads the way.
That when thou need'st His help, He always knows.

This is thy right:
To recognize thyself as God's own perfect child,
His image fair, all-lovely, pure, and free.
His will thy will,
God the one Mind,
Spirit and man, complete in unity.

Hold fast this truth:
There is no seeming cloud of fear, or loss, or lack,
To overshadow God's all-perfect plan.
His Word is law,
His might is right,
Wrong never holds dominion over man.

This must thou know:
Though evil seem to rear its ugly head in hate,
It cannot vanquish Love nor bind the free.
Christ walks the wave,
Truth stands supreme,
God was, and is, and evermore will be.
