Little Flock

Fear not, fear not, O little flock of God,
Though ye be scattered and your shepherd gone!
Wisdom ye gained while guided by his rod,
And safety ye shall find when comes the dawn.

Nothing shall do you hurt, no ill destroy;
Your life is hidden from the beast of prey;
For you await unfailing springs of joy,
And pastures green lie radiant in the day.

Silent shall fury be, oppression cease,
So let the weak be strong, the meek be bold;
The dawning day shall come for your release,
The lambs shall find salvation in the fold.
