Introductions to Lectures

Rose Bay, New South Wales, Australia (Society).

Lecturer: Miss Lucia C. Coulson; introduced by Miss Mary Adelaide Buisson, who said:—

Christian Science has meant a great deal to me, and I am proving daily with the little knowledge that has unfolded to me throughout many years the vastness of its blessings. I have seen a little child instantaneously healed of diphtheria, simply through the understanding which Christian Science gives that a child's thought as well as an adult's expands in an atmosphere of love. I was healed of pneumonia one evening when, in my distress, I asked a friend in my home to help me repeat the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation, as given in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (pp. 16, 17). When we came to the line, "Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven," and the spiritual interpretation, "Enable us to know,—as in heaven, so on earth,—God is omnipotent, supreme," all fear was arrested, and I found I could take a fuller breath without pain or discomfort. The next day I was about my duties as usual.
