The healings in our home through Christian Science have been many, such as those of pneumonia, earache, toothache, sick headaches, sprained ankle and arm, measles, mumps, whooping cough, influenza, boils, ivy poisoning, constipation, rash, and many ills which were never given a name.

For these physical healings, I am very grateful, but for the purifying of character which we experience with each and every healing I am more than grateful.

Our youngest son, when about twelve years old, was having trouble with one of his ears, and although I was having help for him from a practitioner, the condition was not immediately healed. One day while I was reading from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, my thought was arrested by these lines on page 463: "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I read them to the boy and tried to explain them to him. Not long afterwards the obstruction disappeared from his ear, and he came to me saying, "See, Mother, after I told you the truth about my going hunting last week, then Truth removed this error from my ear."
