It is a great happiness to me to have the opportunity of expressing publicly my gratitude for the help I have received through Christian Science from the time I first knew of it.

In 1921 my mother was seriously ill with a liver complaint, and the doctors who treated her despaired of effecting a cure. On the advice of a friend we called the only practitioner of Christian Science there was in this city at that time. With great devotion and kindness she succeeded in so changing the thought of the patient in relation to her state of health that in a few weeks she was completely cured.

Astonished by this healing, I sought further information about Christian Science and acquired the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which I began to study. It showed me the true path to a life of great usefulness and happiness. That happiness was recently made more complete by the granting of a long-desired wish, membership in The Mother Church.
