In the book of Isaiah the prophet states, "I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us." I, too, should like to mention some of the loving-kindnesses that the Lord has bestowed on me since I took up the study of Christian Science and gained a better understanding of God.

I had been in bed for about three years and a half, with the exception of five months, when I was up part of the time. I had what the doctors termed streptococcic throat, and I ran a temperature all the time. I also had a very troublesome appendix, which, but for the condition of my throat, the doctor would have removed.

About nine months previous to the time I looked into Christian Science the doctor told me I should never be able to live in any climate except a warm, dry one, and suggested Arizona. Since I was back in bed all the time then, the trip was physically impossible, as well as being out of the question financially.
