This testimony is submitted in the hope that it may be of help to others. The facts and dates are as nearly accurate as is possible, according to my memory and that of my immediate family.

In 1924, when I was eight years old, my two upper front teeth were taken out by our family dentist, because they were bringing pressure to bear on, and forcing out of line, the adjoining teeth on either side. After a year had passed without any sign of second teeth growing into the vacancies, X rays were taken by the dentist, with the result that a malformation of the teeth, high in the upper gum, was seen. To permit these teeth to come down, the dentist recommended that my gums be slit immediately below these formations.

This procedure was decided against by my family, after they had work done in Christian Science to help them reach a decision. My mother, who had been a student of this Science for about ten years, worked continually for some time. A practitioner's help was also requested at intervals.
