Tampico, Illinois (Society).—Dedication of the edifice of Christian Science Society, Tampico, took place on Sunday, June 8, 1941. Services were held in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The subject of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly was, "God the Only Cause and Creator."

A brief history of the society was included in all three services, and reads in part as follows:

"Christian Science Society, Tampico, became a recognized branch of The Mother Church in 1932, when rooms to serve as a meeting place were rented on Benton Street.

"The society gave its first lecture in October, 1933, and others have followed at regular intervals. Shortly after the first lecture a Sunday school was established. In July, 1934, a Reading Room was also established.

"The purchase of the present edifice was made in November, 1940, and represents the gifts of many members and friends, a building fund having been maintained since the society's organization. The society was incorporated coincident with the purchase of the building."—Tampico Tornado.
